2013-2020 Climate Change Action Plan

The 2013-2020 Climate Change Action Plan (2013-2020 CCAP)(French, PDF, 3,7 Mo) , whose budget is derived from the Green Fund, is Québec’s main tool for fighting climate change, and its implementation is progressing well.

The Plan includes 30 priorities and more than 150 actions led by 14 Government of Québec ministries and other bodies.

Thanks to the Green Fund, whose revenue comes mainly from the carbon market, the government supports companies, municipalities and private citizens in transitioning to a low carbon world.

Up to now, more than 15 programs and a variety of initiatives have been launched to address the following challenges:

Government action in the fight against climate change is both structured and flexible, with new initiatives to be added over the course of 2013-2020. To this end, a Climate Change Advisory Committee comprised of experts in a variety of fields was set up in 2014 to counsel the government on climate change issues.
