Québec, November 19, 2014 – The Ministère du Développement durable, de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques (MDDELCC) will hold a greenhouse gas emission allowances auction today in conjunction with the California Air Resources Board (ARB). This will be the first joint auction held since the two partners linked their respective carbon markets on January 1, 2014.

The auction will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. EST. In all, 23,070,987 units for 2014 and 10,787,000 for 2017 will be put on sale at a minimum price of 12,82 $CAD (11,34 $USD).
